On the Occasion of Children’s Day ‘Bal Mela’ was organized in the school premises on 14th Nov, 2019. Our Principal Mrs. Susan Gomes inaugurated it. Class teachers from every standard put up stalls with variety of spicy and savoury mouth watering food items . The students cheerfully visited one stall to another, relishing the snacks to their heart’s content. Exciting games were the main attractions of the Bal Mela. The school turf ground was turned into an adventure park, classroom into game zones and the school hall into a discotheque. The event was held to give kids and their parents an opportunity to have some great fun. The zest and zeal exhibited by an enthusiastic crowd of visitors and participants made the Bal mela 2019 a memorable one.
The maker mela / Junk art competition was held on 10th January, 2020 in Somaiya College Campus, Vidhyavihar by RIIDL. The competition was judged by Madhu Singh, an Indian painter. Nearly 41 teams of various school participated in the competition. 10 best teams were shortlisted. 15 students (4 teams) from our school participated in the competition in which std 7th students stood 7th and std 8th students stood 8th in the competition. Prize was given only to one of the best.

The 71st. Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur in presence of all students, our Honourable Trustee Mr. Joseph , Principal , Vice Principal , Supervisors , Headmistress, creative academy in-charge, Supervisor of Junior College. The day began with the flag hoisting by our Principal. This was followed by singing our National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’. Our band troop, RSP troop and Scout troop performed March past. It was a fabulous display by all three troops. This was followed by speeches delivered in English and Hindi by Master Prajat Gajengi (VIII E) , Master Harsh Sanghvi (X D) respectively. Our school officials performed Mass Drill (exercises) and all students followed them. Beautiful dances by the students of Primary and the students of std 9 were performed. The melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers were spellbinding. Patriotic songs were sung by Master Kavya Shah of std 9. Our programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Melenie Rodrigues. We are proud of our nation’s achievements and look ahead to a bright future for our country India which is flourished despite advertises to rise victorious.
Dr. Antonio da Silva High School & Junior College (Academic & Technical) Dadar, a prestigious and exceptional school in the heart of Dadar, celebrated Founder’s Day on January 23, 2020. Antonio da Silva High School started in the Portuguese era and continues to impart quality education to children from all strata of society.
The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist followed by the unveiling of the logo to commemorate 150 years of the Institution. The Solar Panels and the Technology driven Library were inaugurated during the function. Students of the Institution put up an array of song and dance. On this occasion, the school proudly announced that 150 years of its establishment will be celebrated from January 2021 to December 2021.
A time to Jingle and Mingle at ADHS
Christmas is a time to give and forgive. Celebrated everywhere as a joyous family affair, we too, at School celebrated Christmas as a happy time for our children and Staff. “Away in the Manger”, “Oh come all ye faithful……, “Rudolph the red nose reindeer” ,”Dashing through the snow……” etc filled the air with festivity.
Our School Staff celebrated its Annual Christmas Party on 20, December 2019 in the New School Hall. The programme was attended by the Board of management, the Staff of the Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Junior College and Technical Section.
The hall was done up to its festive best. Everybody Participated in the Music, Dance and Games. Santa and the Compere kept us in splits. The programme ended with a scrumptious lunch.
Dr Antonio da Silva High School Under 16 football team beat Seth NL High School ,Malad in the finals of the MSSA Under 16 boys football Tournament 2019 and have now been promoted to div III . The all important goal was scored by Sameer Khan a 40 yard long ranger that went to the roof of the net giving Antonio da Silva the coveted title.
It was all hard work by the boys having to play back to back two games daily in the last four days both in hockey and football in the DSO and MSSA Tournaments.
The coaches deserve all the credit for getting these boys in good shape and the training imparted in their quest for this Title bringing laurels for the School.
In the Under 10 MSSA Hockey Tournament the School under 10 team lost to hockey powerhouse Don Bosco High school in the tie breaker. However Salman Khan the under – 10 hockey player was declared as one of the best player’s of the tournament. a well deserved award for this talented player who along with the other boys have been learning the hockey skills for the last two years.
A lot more is in store for the school to achieve more sporting glory.
