Held on 20th September 2019. Around 310 students participated in the elimination round. Among them 12 students of The Junior group and 12 students of The Senior group qualified for finals.

Eco-Club Workshop on making paper bags and envelopes

On 2nd of August 2019, Eco-Club students made eco-friendly paper bags and envelopes. The main purpose of this workshop was to make students aware of environmental damage caused by plastic bags.

Mrs. Shabana Khan guided the students. The children actively participated and came up with amazing paper-bags and envelopes.

ECO-FRIENDLY GANAPATI MAKING COMPETITION

On 21st August 2019 Ecoclub students along with other students made eco-friendly
Ganesh idols during a workshop held in the school laboratory by artists Mr. Girish
Rudra and his team. Mr.Girish demonstrated how to make “Tree Ganesha “ an
eco-friendly Ganesh idol made from red soil,organic fertilizer ,natural colour and seeds.
This unique idol was designed to grow into a tree after immersion.This workshop enabled the students
to celebrate eco-friendly Ganesh festival grandly without harming the environment and thus be
responsible towards environment to make a better and cleaner planet.
The eco-friendly ganapati making competition was judged by Mr. Rakesh Soni .
The winners were as follows :
First place : Siddhesh Dornala – 10th A
Second place : Aaradhya Pilane – 9th B
Third place : Gauresh Dusa – 8th A

Football and Hockey Team Achievements

Dr Antonio da Silva High School Under 16 football team beat Seth NL High School ,Malad in the finals of the MSSA Under 16 boys football Tournament  2019 and have now been promoted to div III . The all important goal was scored by Sameer Khan a 40 yard long ranger that went to the roof of the net giving Antonio  da Silva the coveted title.
It was all hard work by the boys having to play back to back  two games daily in the last four days  both in hockey and football in the DSO and MSSA Tournaments.
 The coaches deserve all the credit for getting these boys in good shape  and the training imparted in their quest for this Title bringing laurels for the  School.
 In the Under 10 MSSA Hockey Tournament the School under 10 team lost to hockey powerhouse Don Bosco  High school  in the tie breaker. However Salman Khan the under – 10 hockey player was declared as one of the best player’s of the tournament. a well deserved award for  this talented player who along with the other boys have  been learning the hockey skills for the last two years.
A lot more is in store for the school to achieve more sporting glory.

TREE PLANTATION CAMPAIGN

Trees are said to be nature’s best friends. The students of Dr Antonio Da Silva high school undertook the tree plantation campaign .The members of Eco-club were thrilled to plant the saplings in the school garden on 18th July2019. Various saplings like Mango, Tulsi, Neem, Amla were planted by the students under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Susana Gomes and the Eco-club teachers .Students took responsibility to water the plants on regular basis, observe them and maintain a record for the same. This campaign gave the students an insight of importance of trees and become environment friendly.
